Chase the Music

  • Journalism engagement is shifting with the digital age, and Rolling Stone Magazine needs a new way to engage Gen-Z.

  • Chase the Music is a one-weekend scavenger hunt that takes place all over the US with VIP Coachella passes at stake for the winners.

  • Dividing the mainland US into 10 territories. Participants will register for 1 territory and compete in 9 music-trivia challenges related to their chosen region.

It all takes place on mobile. Play, track your progress, get hints, and access bonus content through the Chase the Music app.

As you get closer to each location, playlists and exclusive podcasts become available to bring the music to life.

Getting Gen-Z excited by partnering with the most influential pop artists who give hints about clues based on their own lives through Tiktok.
