editor-in-chief [2019-2020]
The 116th volume of the Santa Clara University yearbook is a 252-page book that in many ways began my love of graphic design.
Creating it was unique. What began as covering regular student life on a college campus ended, as everything did in March of 2020, as an experiment. When the pandemic hit, we still had an entire quarter left, meaning about a quarter of the book (50-ish pages) needed to be entirely reinvented.
As Editor-in-Chief, navigating how to make a campus-focused product when we were no longer on campus was a huge challenge. But ultimately, figuring out an interesting way to fill the Spring section was one of the more rewarding outcomes of the job. I learned so much from working alongside my amazing staff, and Iām so grateful for the lessons I learned from them during our time together.
